1. Our Privacy Core
Joy PDF PowerSuite is designed with a "Local-First" philosophy. Unlike mainstream PDF editors, we do not operate a cloud conversion engine. Your documents are your property, and they never leave your hardware.
2. Document Processing (0% Cloud)
All PDF merging, Word conversion, and Excel extraction are performed locally by the application executable on your machine. We do not, and cannot, see the contents of the files you process. There are no server-side uploads or temporary storage of your documents.
3. Information We Collect
To manage professional licensing and prevent software piracy, we collect minimal data during activation:
- Email Address: Used to deliver your license key and provide customer support. This is stored encrypted in our database.
- Hardware ID (HWID): A unique mathematical hash based on your computer's components to bind the license to your device.
- Transaction Data: We retain PayPal transaction IDs to verify purchases and handle refund requests.
4. Third-Party Services
We use a limited number of trusted partners to facilitate the service:
- PayPal: Handles all payment processing. We never see or store your credit card or bank details.
- Google Cloud (Firestore): Securely hosts our license management backend.
- Brevo: Used solely for automated delivery of your license keys via email.
- Cloudflare: Provides security and speed for our marketing website.
5. Security
Our backend uses RSA-256 digital signatures to verify licenses, ensuring that your activation data remains authentic and tamper-proof. Personally Identifiable Information (PII) like email addresses are encrypted at rest within our database.
6. Your Rights
You may request to have your license deactivated and your email removed from our records at any time. Please note that this will immediately terminate your ability to use the Pro version of the software.
